The swim - will take place in the sea, adjacent to the stunning blue flag sandy beach of Llanddwyn. The swim will be parallel to the shore (approx 50m out at all times), in one direction and a straight line from North West to South East. You will walk along the beach from the main car park towards Llanddwyn Island, where the start will take place, approx 1000m for the Full Sandman Tri or 400m for the Sandman Sprint Tri from the transition.  You will then make your way across the sand to the transition area in the main car park. The swim will take place one hour before high water in slack water off the shallow gradient beach. It is likley that the wearing of wet suits will be optional as records show an average sea temp of 16 degrees C for this time of year.
