World's Steepest Street Race Update

It is with great sadness that today we have to announce the postponement of the 2020 World’s Steepest Street race to 2021. Entrants have all been contacted giving further information about the options available.

The 2021 World’s Steepest Street Race will take place the same weekend as the Harlech Triathlon on 17th April 2021. It will be an evening race as originally planned the night before the Triathlon which takes place on the 18th April.

Only last month we were feeling so positive following the successful test events in Wales and were optimistic that we would be racing again in the Autumn like our friends over the border in England and Scotland. We’ve been working hard to prepare and have everything in place to run a Covid-Secure Event and welcome back the Always Aim High Community who have been so loyal and supportive over this difficult year.

Sadly, the situation surrounding Covid-19 has changed rapidly in the recent week and and working closely with the community in Harlech, sports and public governing bodies and in-line with official Welsh Government guidance, we have been left with no choice but to postpone the World’s Steepest Street Race until next year.

We are a small independent business but we remain fiercely determined to protect our events, staff and suppliers. The continued support and understanding from our participants and communities remains vital as we steer ourselves out of this crisis and for this we thank you.
